Lord Jesus, Light of light, you have come among us. The Lord is in our midst; he is mighty to save!

Reflection

Holy Spirit, kindle the flame of our faith. Grow us in Peace. You govern all things in heaven and earth— grant us your peace all the days of our life.

Prayer

Eternal God, Creator of Heaven and Earth God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob You are the true and living God. In the Beginning, You created order and substance from the wild and waste. In the end, it is you Who is making all things new. You are the Alpha and Omega. The First and the Last. The Beginning, and the End. From the rising of the sun, To the going down of the same Your name alone is to be praised. Holy, Holy, Holy Is the LORD God almighty. Who was, and is, and is to come. That shrewd serpent reared its head to strike but you crushed it beneath your bruised heel. Oh death, where is your victory? Oh death, where is your sting? Ours is in our risen Lord! All praises to you, our victorious king! Come quickly, Lord! For our reward is in you. Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Spirit As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever.

Closing Prayer

Behold we are the servants of the Lord. Let it be to us according to your word. May we rest in the peace that the darkness can never extinguish the light that has been given to us.
