Opening Prayer

Lord Jesus, Light of light, you have come among us. The Lord is in our midst; he is mighty to save!

Scripture

I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." -John 16:33

Reflection

Holy Spirit, kindle the flame of our faith. Grow us in Peace. You govern all things in heaven and earth— grant us your peace all the days of our life.

Prayer

Father God, you reign over all this earth.

You are the Lord overall.

We recognize your sovereignty and your love.

We lift to you all that we have been given, all that we have been trusted with, and all that we steward.

Thank you so much that we can rest in you and find peace.

True peace beyond all understanding.

Often, we find ourselves in deep tribulation, and Jesus, your faith was tried as ours is at times.

Yet you trusted that you would not be put to shame, and “into God’s hands you entrusted your spirit.”

Give us courage to do the same in times of trial.

We know that in you we have true victory!

Closing Prayer

Behold we are the servants of the Lord. Let it be to us according to your word. May we rest in the peace that the darkness can never extinguish the light that has been given to us.
